pound cake

So, my dad's birthday is this Friday and he wants his mother's home made pound cake. Yep. And guess who gets to bake it. Me and my brother. Yeah, that's what his card is. (I gave up on doodling a background, only cuz my mind went blank).

Heh, but lemme tell you. Every time we bake this cake, I'm always a mess and something usually goes wrong. Like caughting the bowl full of cake batter about to tip over the counter and not miss a drop. Or realizing that the last ingredient wasn't added and pull the cake outta the oven to add whatever and then pop it back in the oven. I have burned (not too badly) this cake twice, because of certain ovens tend to cook faster.

The home made pound cake takes forever to put together and takes an hour to bake. BUT it's so amazingly yummy!

I am a knucklehead. 'Cause inside the card, I wrote this:
"We wish you a Happy Birthday!
We wish you a Happy Birthday!
We wish you a very Happy Birthday!
And make sure you make a wish,
before gobbling up your cake!"

So, can you guess where I got the first couple of lines from to twick?
